I suppose this is where I'm supposed to try and impress you with my fabulous array of education, training, awards and stuff.

But I'm not that kind of guy. If awards and certificates are important to you, I'm afraid I'm not very impressive. I'm just a guy who loves filmmaking. And telling a good story.

You see, I've done a lot of things in my life -- I've waited tables, cooked in restaurants, sat at a customer service desk, framed pictures, made rubber stamps, taught junior high school (that really was fun! - I'm mean that sincerely. No sarcasm here), operated the board at a radio station and even have a few IMDB credits to my name. 

But over the past 15 years, I've fallen in love with photography and filmmaking. And storytelling. I love the medium and what you can do with it.

In 2008, I did earn a Certificate of Completion from Video Symphony School of Post Production. I learned HD editing on Avid Media Composer. I am also an Avid Media Composer Certified User, which means I passed a wicked hard test, proving I know my way around an Avid editing system.

Since then, I've shot lots of video. Some of it so bad, I made liberal use of the delete function. A lot of it was helping other people tell their stories. Some of it even turned pretty good.

I will tell you this: While I haven't won any awards or made a bazillion dollars shooting a music video for Taylor Swift (one day...), I'm having fun. A LOT of fun. More fun than anyone should be allowed to have, I think. 

So that's a little about who I am. And why I do this. Because I love it. And it's fun.
